GRAD STUDENT OPPORTUNITY: Engineering Education

We are currently looking for a Master’s or Ph.D. student to study in the field of Engineering Leadership or Interdisciplinary Design Education in the School of Engineering (SOE) at the University of Guelph, with a start date of Fall 2023. This position will be provided a research stipend and is eligible for Graduate Teaching Assistantships.

Our broad research goal is to contribute to the understanding and advancement of engineering education as it relates to engineering practice and frameworks used and developed in the context of engineering leadership and interdisciplinary engineering design. Engineering education themes of interest include:

Leadership, culture and culture change, interdisciplinary design, peer-learning, project management, teamwork, technological stewardship, professional skills development, and early career development.

  1. A brief letter highlighting your background and describing why you are interested in pursuing an MASc. or Ph.D. in the field of Engineering Education. Highlight any research activity, leadership experience, or other skills or experience that you feel are relevant to the application.
  2. A brief statement (150-200 words) with your specific research interests and goals that might relate to research areas identified above.
  3. Your resume or CV and unofficial transcript.
